The Endospike is a blunt trocar only releasing its cutting edge on contact with tissue. A successive, slow advance within a range of millimetres whilst penetrating the abdominal wall is guaranteed. The obturator causes a crescent-shaped incision, made in the direction of the fibres, healing quickly as generating less trauma. Herloon World's first TEP combination product The new Aesculap Hernia Balloon trocar for the TEP technique (Total Extraperitoneal Patch) is a striking combination product. It consists of a reusable trocar body and a single use balloon shaft. The herloon combines superior product quality with unmatched cost-efficiency. The easy handling is based on a simple snap-in mechanism of the single use shaft into the reusable trocar body. The outstanding dilatation properties through highly elastic latex-free material and the excellent balloon transparency provides an optimal view of the body structures.
UNITRAC UNITRAC is the new AESCULAP retraction and retention system for use in open surgery, minimal invasive surgery and neurosurgery, for fixing telescopes, cameras, instruments and wound hooks. UNITRAC is the universal aid of the surgeon for exact positioning of instruments and videoendoscopic systems and for stable holding of wound hooks over a long period. When mounted on the operating table rail and connected to the theatre compressed air supply, the system is always quickly ready for use. The sterile preparation is simple and uncomplicated since the entire system can be steam sterilized at 134° C (2 bar). Sterilization, storage and transport in the AESCULAP standard container is of course possible. An extensive programme of wound hooks, camera holders and endoscope holders is available for individual choice.
VascuCut AESCULAPïs VascuCut modular aorta punching system offers a complete new concept in vascular surgery. A reusable punch handle can be equipped with punching heads of four, five and six millimetres in diameter. The punch heads are replaced by new heads after approx. 15 applications. The system therefore offers a particularly economic and safe application. Further features of the VascuCut are its ergonomic design, offering maximum visibility onto the operating site as well as the easy disassembly of the punch.
